lyrics
Look around/Everything we’ve known is dead/Many lives lost/Melancholy paints the sky red/
Clouds heavy like Lead/We need to contribute to the world/And not just take/We must give and nurture/Not make the same mistakes/because We’re Still Here
(Ceschi)
We’re floating spirits here/Navigating a sinking ghost ship
Though nothing will save us in the long run…/right now, why not live ?
Seen Civilization/Fuck the earth into profitable bits
Cancers on a planet/But to each other we mean everything
Still we fight one another/Climb on each other’s backs
When one of us dies/we’ll repeat the same words
gestures and speeches about the unknown
All of us our sharing blood with our fellow leeches/
Parasitic but so fucking pretty really/That It Makes me wanna believe in us
Been a cold night/And it’s lasted so long
We’re freezing, but alive

If you told me that Dischordia shared members with Dysrhythmia I'd believe it without checking. Angular, dissonant constructions that give no fucks about human enjoyment. I need more. Ghuughra
Even in its prettiest, most celestial moments, the South Dakota trio's sound feels dark and dense and deeply rooted. Bandcamp Album of the Day Aug 24, 2021

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
